My work explores the relationship between multiculturalism and daytime TV. With influences as diverse as Kafka and Joni Mitchell, new synergies are synthesised from both simple and complex layers. I am fascinated by the essential unreality of the human condition. What starts out as triumph soon becomes corrupted into a manifesto of distress, leaving only a sense of unreality and the chance of a new synthesis; a shifting phenomena of forms distorted through diligent and personal practice which bring up the viewer in a hymn to the darkness of our era. This cacophony of powerful images with complex meanings leaves only a sense of nihilism and the unlikelihood of a new order.
